I'm creating a character to embody the Spirit of the Blue Ridge in Southern Appalachia. S/he wills to flourish, to preserve, to create awareness, to shine a loving light, to know the darkness, to revel in mystery. S/he it is born of hillslope, stream, and tree. She is protected by Mountain, River, Forest, Sky, and Stone. 

 

The Creature is a Protector of new ideas, of mother earth -- a Curetes.
